“Everybody’s Gotta Learn Sometime” by Beck
I heard this song for the first time in the Michel Gondry directed “Eternal SunShine of the Spotless Mind”, one of my all-time favorite movies! After a bit of research I found out that the version from the movie sung by Beck, is actually a cover for the original song by The Korgis released in 1980, which, needless to say is incredible. I hesitated a little about whether I should post Beck’s version or the original, but I’m just too big of a fan of the movie. Beck’s version wins!
This song is about second chances. It’s a testament to the endless opportunity we have every single moment, to take our lives in a more positive direction.

“Diferente” is the kind of record only the Gotan Project can pull off. The group’s sound is a blend of Argentinean Tango and ambient electronica. They’ve managed to build a bridge between a musical style with 19th century Latin origins and one with ’1970s’ British orgins.
